Our Best Tools For Canine Therapists

Canine therapists are uniquely positioned to build strong, trusting relationships with caregivers, thanks to regular and often longer consultations. CAM resources can help enhance these sessions and provide additional support for caregivers who seek advice. Here are our top five tools to be used daily in clinic!

HOME ASSESSMENT
Checklist

We know the profound impact that home adaptions can have on a dog’s daily life. A simple slip on a wooden floor, or a fall from the sofa can undo weeks of therapeutic progress, or even trigger a painful flare.

The Recently Diagnosed Toolkit

This practical and easy-to-use guide is perfect to share with caregivers. It brings clarity and confidence by outlining what to do next, what to look out for, and how to build a successful management plan.

ACUTE FLARE KIT
PROFESSIONALS

Acute flares are common but often not discussed. The Acute Flare Kit for professionals provides more information and guidance on management strategies. This can be combined with signposting caregivers to the Acute Flare Kit for caregivers

Interviews
with Experts

Our video library contains hundreds of hours of talks covering all aspects of arthritis management. Learn from the experts, as we interview specialist vets, therapists, and paraprofessionals- each with a unique prospective on how we can effectively combat arthritis.

THE PAIN VET REFERRALS

Integrative therapies play a vital role in chronic pain management. Whilst you have a whole therapeutic tool kit at your disposal, there are times when additional veterinary input can enhance your treatment plan.

The Pain Vet is a unique service that provides one-on-one consultations for caregivers seeking support in managing their dog’s arthritis. Consultations are available both in-person and online, making expert support accessible no matter where you are in the world. Run by leading veterinary experts, the Pain Vet team provides personalised advice, time-rich consultations, and collaborative care.

Caregivers commonly form strong relationships with their dog's therapist, turning to them for additional support and with complex questions. Chronic pain conditions are difficult to manage, and you are not expected to have all the answers. Additionally, there may come a time when the dog's pain limits progress or significantly hinders your interventions. By connecting caregivers with The Pain Vet, you can be assured that your valuable insights are heard and that your patient is in safe hands.

The Pain Vet can also provide one-on-one consultations to allied and veterinary professionals to support you with your specific cases.
