Arthritis diagnosed today – what to do next?

Hello,

My 10 year old Golden Retriever has today been diagnosed with arthritis in her front right wrist and stiffness in her elbow. As she is such a well natured girl, she shows limited signs of pain. She is on age specific food and is a good weight, we will adapt her exercise routine, but she is an energetic girl that does not want to slow down!

What can we do to help manage the pain and slow down the deterioration of her joints?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Gemma

Hey there… sorry to hear your diagnosis but good news that you know about it early.

We have a YouTube channel that has a lot of episodes where Gwen Covey Crump and I chat about an appropriate approach to managing arthritis long-term.

Start here and you’ll find so much within the channel

There is also a whole range of booklets that we have now made available as downloadable PDFs. https://www.camonlineshop.com/cam-booklets-digital-download-versions/

The Arthritis Bible would be a great starting point.

There is also a great Facebook group you can join called Holly’s Army… these owners are great advocates of good management.

    Best of luck

    Regards,
    Hannah
